COLO.SCIENCE — REFRIGERATED HIGH-CAPACITY CENTRIFUGATION
Large-batch centrifugation with active temperature control
The LACE56R platform is intended for laboratories that need high throughput without giving up temperature control. The 5-inch touch panel provides access to speed, RCF, time, temperature and ramp settings, while automatic rotor identification supports correct configuration of the selected rotor family.
The same LACE56 rotor portfolio supports large bottles, conical and round-bottom tubes, blood collection tubes and microplates. The host centrifuge, rotor, buckets and adapters should be selected as one operating system according to vessel geometry, working volume, target RCF, cooling requirement, biosafety expectations and the laboratory SOP.

ROTOR, BUCKET AND ADAPTER CONFIGURATION
Compatible rotor families for LACE56R
The LACE56R high capacity refrigerated centrifuge is supplied as a configurable platform. Select the rotor first according to vessel format and required throughput, then confirm the compatible bucket and adapter set. Rotor availability and included components must be stated in the official quotation.
High-capacity laboratory centrifuge with application-specific rotor selection
The LACE56R high capacity refrigerated centrifuge can be configured with fixed-angle, large-volume swing-out, blood collection tube and microplate rotors. Selecting the correct rotor image and SKU helps laboratories compare 12 × 10 ml, 4 × 500 ml, 4 × 750 ml, 96-place and 120-place configurations before the final quotation is prepared.

Refrigeration, control and safety support
Rapid pre-cooling
Cooling to 4 °C in 8 minutes helps shorten setup and turnaround between temperature-controlled runs.
Automatic rotor identification
Rotor recognition supports correct rotor limits and helps reduce setup errors on a platform with multiple rotor families.
Controlled acceleration and braking
Ten acceleration and deceleration profiles help adapt the run to fragile pellets, gradients and sensitive interfaces.
Protection and diagnostics
Electronic lid locking, imbalance stop, over-speed, over-temperature and motor over-current protection are supported by error diagnostics.
Applications and laboratory value
Temperature-sensitive separation
Active cooling supports proteins, enzymes, blood fractions, vaccines and other samples that require controlled chamber temperature during centrifugation.
Clinical and blood workflows
Dedicated 96-place and 120-place blood collection tube rotors support higher-throughput clinical sample preparation.
Biopharmaceutical and cell culture use
Large-volume refrigerated swing-out configurations support cell culture separation, biological preparation and related research workflows.
Microplate processing
The PRO6989 holder rack extends the platform to multi-well plate formats for suitable temperature-controlled protocols.
CONFIGURATION GUIDE
How to configure the LACE56R high capacity refrigerated centrifuge
Begin with the actual sample vessel rather than the centrifuge maximum. Confirm nominal volume, working fill volume, outside diameter, length, bottom shape, cap type and the vessel manufacturer’s permitted speed or RCF. Then select the rotor family, bucket and adapter that provide the required capacity and operating force.
For blood collection tubes, define tube volume, cap-removal requirement and expected daily throughput. For bottles, confirm whether the bottom is conical or round and whether a dedicated insert is required. For microplates, confirm plate type, overall height, loading symmetry and the accepted plate centrifugation limit.
For temperature-critical methods, also define the target chamber setting, sample starting temperature, rotor and load, run time and acceptable sample-temperature change. Chamber set temperature is not automatically identical to actual sample temperature, so critical protocols should be validated under real working conditions.
LABORATORY CENTRIFUGE CATALOGUE
Compare refrigerated centrifuge platforms and rotor capacities
Use the catalogue to compare high-capacity, refrigerated, high-speed and compact centrifuge platforms by speed, RCF, capacity, temperature control and supported sample format.
COLO.SCIENCE KNOWLEDGE AND SUPPORT
Technical guidance for refrigerated centrifuge configuration
COLO.Science supports rotor and adapter selection according to vessel format, sample volume, target RCF, throughput, temperature requirement, balance conditions and biosafety expectations.
Configuration and specification notice
The host centrifuge, rotor, buckets, adapters and sample vessels form one operating system. The official quotation and order confirmation must define the centrifuge SKU, rotor SKU, included buckets, adapter set, vessel dimensions, electrical configuration, safety documentation and final operating limits. For temperature-critical work, the validated protocol should also define the sample load, starting temperature, chamber setting and run time. Website content supports product selection and does not replace the binding quotation, manufacturer manual or rotor certificate. Specifications may change without notice.
