The vertical orbital shaking incubator series ORSHA80, ORSHA82 and ORSHA85 is made for shake-flask culture in larger series. Three floor-standing sizes — 175, 335 and 580 L — come with heating only (RT+5 °C to 65 °C) or with heating and cooling (C version, 4 °C to 65 °C). The trays shake on a Ø26 mm orbit from 20 to 350 rpm, and a UV lamp and interior light are standard.

All six models share the Ø26 mm orbit, 20–350 rpm, the brushless DC motor, the multi-step program, forced air, UV lamp and interior light. The C versions add active cooling down to 4 °C.
Floor-standing vertical orbital shaking incubator for large flask series
A brushless DC motor with feedback control drives the trays with a slow start, so the flasks do not splash. Forced air with breeze circulation keeps the temperature even, and a multi-step program changes temperature, speed and time automatically during the run. Through the observation window you can check the cultures without opening the door.

Which size, and do you need cooling?
Choose the size by the number of flasks per run: 175 L takes 24 × 250 ml as standard, 335 L takes 28 × 250 ml or 22 × 500 ml, and 580 L takes 45 × 250 ml or 36 × 500 ml. Choose a C model when you work near or below room temperature, or when the room is warm.

Installation and care
Place the incubator on a firm, level floor and level the feet so it does not move while shaking; leave free space around it for ventilation and use a separate earthed 220 V socket. Spread the flasks evenly, fill them to about a quarter of their volume, and check the screws of the flask clamps regularly. Run the UV lamp only with the chamber empty and the door closed.
