Why FLUO-UP950 is built for fast, repeatable fluorescence work

FLUO-UP950 is a research-grade upright fluorescence microscope designed for efficient observation and imaging with minimized repetitive operations. The system combines a robust metal body, full Köhler illumination, motorized objective switching, and an electric XYZ platform controlled by joystick or a front-mounted touch screen.

For multichannel fluorescence, the coded 6-position filter turntable and coded LED fluorescence light source support fast switching between excitation bands while helping reduce dye quenching. The integrated control and imaging software enables autofocus, position memory/return, scanning workflows, and consistent parameter recall from the last operation.

Key features (short)

  • Motorized XYZ stage (joystick or touch-screen control; programmable workflows).
  • Motorized sextuple nosepiece with Active Light Manager (automatic light ratio adjustment when changing objectives).
  • Full Köhler illumination with adjustable field diaphragm.
  • Coded 10W LED transmitted illumination with constant-intensity control + ECO standby after inactivity (software integrated).
  • Motorized 6-position coded fluorescence filter turret + coded LED FL excitation (385/470/565/625 nm).

Where it fits best

  • Multichannel fluorescence imaging and documentation.
  • Workflows requiring repeatable positioning (position memory/return) and efficient objective switching.
  • Phase contrast / DIC setups (variant-dependent condenser options).
  • Routine research imaging with consistent settings and software-assisted acquisition.

PRACTICAL USE & CHECKLISTS

Daily workflow checklist (fast)

Start in transmitted light to locate the sample, confirm Köhler alignment, and set eyepiece diopters/IPD. Use the motorized nosepiece and Active Light Manager for consistent brightness when switching objectives.

For fluorescence, select the coded excitation/filter position, keep exposure consistent, and use position memory/return for multi-point work. Save acquisition presets for repeatable documentation.

COLO.Science & equipment

COLO.Science supports selection and configuration: objectives, condenser (BF/PH/DIC), fluorescence modules, camera integration, and software alignment for your imaging workflow.

If you need a specific fluorescence filter set, motorized scanning workflow, or camera trigger integration, we propose a compatible configuration and validate the final bill of materials.
