Portable DO Meters

Portable DO meters are field-ready instruments for measuring dissolved oxygen concentration, oxygen saturation and
temperature directly at the sampling point. These handheld dissolved oxygen meters are commonly used in wastewater
treatment, aquaculture, environmental monitoring, surface water analysis and routine field inspection of aeration and
oxygenation systems.

In practical water quality workflows, portable DO meters allow technicians to check oxygen levels without moving samples
back to the laboratory. COLO.Science offers portable dissolved oxygen instruments with optical or electrochemical DO
probes, automatic temperature compensation, salinity correction, calibration functions and data handling options for
reliable on-site measurement.

Selecting the right portable DO meter depends on measurement range, probe technology, response time, IP protection,
field durability, data memory and the type of water sample being tested. Optical DO systems are often preferred for
lower-maintenance field operation, while electrochemical or polarographic DO probes remain suitable for many standard
water quality applications where established measurement routines are already in place.

CATEGORY STRUCTURE (NAVIGATION HUB)

PORTABLE DO METER SELECTION

  • Optical portable DO meters – low-maintenance field instruments for dissolved oxygen
measurement where stable readings, reduced membrane maintenance and rugged operation are important.
  • Electrochemical / polarographic portable DO meters – established DO measurement systems for
routine field testing, wastewater control, aquaculture and general water quality applications.
  • Field DO kits and accessories – handheld meters combined with DO probes, temperature sensors,
cable assemblies, calibration accessories, carrying cases and support for routine measurement procedures.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS

  • Wastewater treatment – checking aeration tanks, biological treatment stages and oxygenation
    conditions during routine plant control.
  • Aquaculture and fish farming – monitoring oxygen concentration in ponds, tanks and recirculation
systems to support stable aquatic conditions.
  • Environmental monitoring – field measurement of dissolved oxygen in rivers, lakes, reservoirs,
groundwater and surface water sampling campaigns.
  • Industrial water quality checks – on-site verification of oxygen levels in process water,
cooling water, treated water and quality control workflows.
