COLO.SCIENCE – UV/VIS FOR ROUTINE & ADVANCED QUANTITATION
Why XENON Series is a practical lab choice
XENON Series combines a stable double-beam optical path with fast scanning and an intuitive 10.1″ touch interface. Typical workflows include photometric measurements (T/A), quantitative calibration curves (C), full-band spectral scanning and kinetics.
Model selection is straightforward: XENON-200 (2nm bandwidth), XENON-250 (1nm bandwidth), and XENON-250S (selectable 0.5/1/2/4/5nm bandwidth) for higher flexibility and expanded mechanics.
Key features (short)
- Double Beam optical system with 1200 lines/mm grating.
- Flashing xenon light source (no preheating).
- Work modes: T, A, C, E + Photometric, Quantitative, Spectral Scanning, Kinetics, DNA/Protein, Reflectance.
- Fast/medium/slow scanning speeds; auto wavelength setting.
- USB Host/Drive + RS232 + SD card for data export.
Where it fits best
- Quality control (raw materials, in-process checks, finished goods).
- Environmental / water labs (routine UV/Vis methods + scans).
- Academic & applied research (kinetics, DNA/protein routines).
- Method development where scan stability matters.
PRACTICAL USE & CHECKLISTS
Daily setup checklist (fast)
Clean cuvettes and ensure consistent orientation, run auto-zero/blank, then select the mode (T/A/C/E). For scanning, set range and speed; for Quant mode, enter standards and generate a calibration curve.
For traceable QC, standardize method names + sample IDs and export results via USB/SD to your reporting workflow.
COLO.Science & equipment
COLO.Science supports configuration, method setup and deployment (templates for Quant curves, scan presets, export/report routines) so multiple operators get consistent, repeatable results.
If you need optional items (auto cell holder, printer, reflectance accessories), we propose the matching configuration.

Configuration notice — series models differ by bandwidth & mechanics
XENON series models share the same double-beam UV/Vis platform and workflow. Select the model primarily by spectral bandwidth (2nm / 1nm / selectable 0.5–5nm) and by physical format (XENON-250S has larger chassis). The official PDF catalog defines the exact delivered configuration, included components and available options.
