COLO.SCIENCE — HIGH- AND LOW-SPEED FLEXIBILITY ON ONE BENCHTOP PLATFORM

RITACUBA20N high-speed centrifuge for microtubes, blood tubes and vessels up to 250 ml

RITACUBA20N is designed for laboratories that need more than a dedicated microcentrifuge. Interchangeable fixed-angle and swing-out rotors extend the usable sample range from microtubes to larger laboratory vessels, including 250 ml swing-out cups and common blood collection tube formats.

The platform therefore covers two distinct operating profiles: high-speed processing for small tubes and lower-speed, higher-capacity separation for larger sample batches. Automatic rotor recognition helps align the operating range with the installed compatible rotor.

Up to 999 stored programs, ±10 rpm speed accuracy and ten acceleration/deceleration levels support laboratories that repeat many different centrifugation methods on the same instrument.

SELECTION NOTE — RITACUBA20N CONFIGURATION

RITACUBA20N high-speed centrifuge with broad rotor and capacity flexibility

The RITACUBA20N high-speed centrifuge should be configured from the sample and method rather than from the instrument maximum speed alone. First define tube or vessel geometry, working volume, samples per run and target RCF; then select the compatible rotor and required adapter.

This is especially important because the same platform combines high-speed fixed-angle rotors with lower-speed, higher-capacity rotors. The published 20,000 rpm and 29,060 × g figures are maximum instrument values; every installed rotor, adapter and tube must remain within its own stated limit.

The centrifuge unit, rotor and adapters are selected and quoted separately unless a specific package is explicitly defined. Final compatibility and delivery scope are confirmed in the binding quotation.

From high-speed microtubes to 4 × 250 ml swing-out separation

PRO6946 4 x 250 ml swing-out rotor for RITACUBA20N

High- and low-speed capability is the key difference

High-speed angle rotors support microtube and smaller-volume separation, while the PRO6946 swing-out rotor expands the platform to 4 × 250 ml and supports adapters for 50, 15, 10, 5 and 1.5 ml tubes plus blood collection tubes.

Selected NCP composite rotors combine low mass, high strength, low thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance. The nano-ceramic-coated rotor chamber adds a smooth corrosion-resistant surface.

The single-stamped T45 steel body, three-stage rubber vibration absorption and automatic balancing support stable operation at a specified noise level of ≤60 dB(A).

RITACUBA20N PLATFORM SELECTION

Why choose RITACUBA20N for mixed high- and low-speed laboratory work?

RITACUBA20N is useful when one laboratory needs both microtube centrifugation and larger-volume batch separation without active refrigeration. Fixed-angle and swing-out rotors allow the platform to move between high-speed small-volume methods and lower-speed high-capacity processing.

For temperature-sensitive protocols, select a refrigerated centrifuge instead. RITACUBA20N is explicitly an ambient, non-refrigerated model.

How to select the correct rotor for the RITACUBA20N high-speed centrifuge

Start with the consumable and method: tube, vessel or blood collection tube type, working volume, geometry, chemical compatibility and the consumable manufacturer’s maximum permitted RCF or speed. Then define sample count and required centrifugal force.

Next decide whether the workflow is primarily high-speed/small-volume or lower-speed/higher-capacity. This determines whether a microtube angle rotor, larger angle rotor or swing-out rotor is the best starting point.

Never apply the instrument’s 20,000 rpm maximum to a rotor rated for a lower speed. The correct operating limit is always the lowest applicable limit among centrifuge, rotor, adapter and tube.

RITACUBA20N high-speed centrifuge FAQ

What is the maximum performance of RITACUBA20N?

The instrument is specified for up to 20,000 rpm and 29,060 × g, with maximum declared capacity of 4 × 250 ml. Actual values depend on the installed rotor.

Is RITACUBA20N refrigerated?

No. RITACUBA20N is an ambient, non-refrigerated centrifuge.

Can RITACUBA20N handle 250 ml vessels?

Yes. PRO6946 provides 4 × 250 ml swing-out capacity at up to 4,000 rpm and 3,040 × g.

Are rotor and adapters included?

The centrifuge is supplied as a centrifuge unit. Rotor and required adapters are selected separately unless a quotation explicitly defines a complete package.

Does every compatible rotor operate at 20,000 rpm?

No. 20,000 rpm is the maximum instrument specification. Each rotor has its own maximum speed and RCF, which must never be exceeded.

Configuration notice

The official quotation defines the final RITACUBA20N delivery scope, including centrifuge unit, selected rotor, adapters, electrical configuration, optional USB export and documentation requirements. Exact performance, capacity, compatibility and included components depend on the selected configuration. Specifications may change without notice.

Need help configuring the RITACUBA20N high-speed centrifuge?

Send us the tube or vessel type, sample volume, required capacity, sample count per run and target RCF. COLO.Science can verify the centrifuge, rotor and adapter combination before quotation.
