COLO.SCIENCE — SAMPLE PREPARATION / COOLING DRY-BLOCK THERMO SHAKERS
Heating and cooling thermo shaker incubator for sub-ambient sample workflows
The ALEMADR-MSC Thermo Shaker Incubator is designed for laboratories that require both controlled heating and active cooling in the same compact bench-top system. Unlike heating-only thermo shaker models, ALEMADR-MSC includes Peltier cooling and can support protocols requiring sub-ambient temperature control down to –20°C.
The instrument combines dry-block temperature control, orbital mixing and timed operation. It can be configured with interchangeable thermo blocks for microtubes, centrifuge tubes, PCR formats, microplates, Falcon tubes and deep-well plate workflows. Final block selection should be matched to vessel format, sample volume, temperature range and required shaking speed.

Applications and laboratory value
Sub-ambient incubation and mixing
ALEMADR-MSC is suitable for workflows where samples must be mixed or held below room temperature before, during or after heating steps.
DNA, RNA and protein workflows
Heating, cooling and orbital mixing support molecular biology sample preparation, including extraction, denaturation and controlled reaction steps.
PCR and microplate support
Optional thermo blocks allow use with PCR tubes, PCR plates, microplates and enzyme-labeled plate formats when compatible conditions are confirmed.
Clinical, QC and research laboratories
The compact footprint, cooling option, LCD operation and modular block system make ALEMADR-MSC useful for intensive daily laboratory work.
How to choose the correct ALEMADR-MSC configuration
When selecting a cooling thermo shaker incubator, the laboratory should define whether the protocol requires sub-ambient cooling, elevated-temperature incubation, orbital mixing or a combination of all three functions. ALEMADR-MSC is the heating / cooling thermo shaker model in the ALEMADR family and should be selected when controlled cooling down to –20°C and mixing up to 1500 rpm are required.
The selected thermo block determines practical compatibility, maximum temperature, maximum rpm and supported vessel format. Before quotation, COLO.Science recommends confirming sample vessel type, tube diameter, working volume, target temperature, shaking speed, protocol duration and whether cooling recovery time is important for the workflow.
ALEMADR-MSC as a cooling thermo shaker incubator for daily laboratory work
ALEMADR-MSC Thermo Shaker Incubator is useful when a laboratory needs one compact system for heating, cooling and reproducible orbital mixing. Instead of using a separate dry bath, laboratory shaker and cooling block, the user can run temperature-controlled incubation, reagent mixing and small-volume sample preparation in one dry-block platform.
The –20°C to 100°C temperature range makes ALEMADR-MSC suitable for protocols that move between cold holding, controlled warming and higher-temperature incubation. Combined with 0–1500 rpm mixing speed and a 2 mm orbit, the instrument supports workflows where stable temperature and repeatable mixing are important for consistency. The correct thermo block selection allows the device to be adapted to real laboratory vessels and application requirements.
