ALEMADR-MC mini dry bath incubator — heating and cooling, RT−15 °C to 100 °C
The ALEMADR-MC mini dry bath incubator heats and cools one interchangeable block for microtubes and 8-position strips from 0.2 ml to 2.0 ml. The block is controlled from 15 °C below room temperature up to 100 °C, with ≤ ±0.3 °C accuracy and uniformity, and AUTO-4 °C holds the samples cold after the run. Programs run up to five temperature points and repeat up to 99 times. It weighs 1.0 kg and runs on DC 12 V. Product code PRO4346.
Heating only, or heating and cooling?
A mini dry bath that also cools — microtubes and strips, from below room temperature to 100 °C
A heating-only dry bath starts a few degrees above the room. The ALEMADR-MC mini dry bath incubator goes below it: the same block that heats to 100 °C cools to 15 °C under room temperature, so one 145 × 113 mm instrument chills, holds and heats small samples without an ice bucket or a second device.

Why a mini dry bath incubator with cooling
Many protocols need both directions on a small number of tubes: a short heat step, then the samples back to cold. The ALEMADR-MC mini dry bath incubator does that on one block with a program of up to five points, and AUTO-4 °C keeps the tubes at 4 °C when the run ends — no ice bucket, no transfer between instruments.
If the work stays above room temperature, the heating-only ALEMADR-MB has the same footprint and takes the same five blocks, at half the weight and on DC 24 V.

The ALEMADR-MC mini dry bath incubator is supplied as a main unit without a block; the block is chosen by tube format and ordered under its own product code. One block is mounted at a time. Quote and order with the COLO product code.

Operating functions
Temperature and cooling
The ALEMADR-MC mini dry bath incubator is set from 0 °C to 100 °C and controlled from 15 degrees below room temperature up to 100 °C, with 0.1 °C on the display and ≤ ±0.3 °C accuracy and uniformity. It cools from 100 °C to 25 °C in about twenty minutes and from room temperature to RT−15 °C in about 25 minutes; the lowest reachable temperature therefore depends on the room the instrument stands in.
Programs and timer
A program holds up to five temperature points, each with its own time, and repeats up to 99 times. The timer runs from one second to 99 minutes 59 seconds, or continuously. AUTO-4 °C can follow the program and keep the samples cold.
Automatic functions and calibration
Auto heating and auto running are built in, and after a power failure the instrument resumes the run when the supply returns. Electronic calibration lets the user set the instrument to any local temperature standard.
Good thermal contact
Use tubes that fit the block holes snugly and keep the block clean and dry. Heat and cold pass through the contact between tube wall and aluminium, so the right block for the tube format matters as much as the set value.
Build, power supply and safe operation
The ALEMADR-MC mini dry bath incubator runs on DC 12 V / 5 A, 60 W, from a 100–240 V mains adapter; the adapter is UL, CSA and CE approved. Control is microprocessor-based, with built-in over-temperature protection and fault detection with a buzzer alarm. Vents on the side carry heat away from the cooling unit.
It measures 145 × 113 × 140 mm and weighs 1.0 kg. Keep the side vents free, and confirm the plug type of the mains adapter before the order is placed.

Applications and operational value
The ALEMADR-MC mini dry bath incubator is used for preservation and reactions of samples, DNA amplification steps and the initial denaturation of samples for electrophoresis — and, because it cools, for anything that has to sit below room temperature for a while.
Five blocks cover 2.0, 1.5 and 0.5 ml microtubes and two 32-position formats for 0.2 ml PCR 8-tube strips and ELISA 8-well strips. The same blocks fit the heating-only ALEMADR-MB.
Against an ice bucket the temperature is set and held, not estimated, and against a water bath there is no water to change and no contamination path.
Selection guide
- Heating only, or heating and cooling? Above room temperature the ALEMADR-MB is enough; below room temperature, or for 4 °C holding, choose the ALEMADR-MC.
- Tube format. One block per instrument — choose 2.0, 1.5 or 0.5 ml tubes or 8-position strips and count the positions per run.
- More positions or larger tubes? The single-block ALEMADR-SOC cools to RT−30 °C and takes tubes up to 50 ml and 96-well plates.
- Power. DC 12 V through the supplied 100–240 V adapter; confirm the plug type.
