ALEMADR-SO dry bath incubator — one interchangeable block, RT+5 °C to 100 °C
The ALEMADR-SO dry bath incubator is a compact, microprocessor-controlled instrument for one interchangeable aluminium block. The temperature is set from 0 °C and controlled from RT+5 °C to 100 °C, to ≤ ±0.3 °C accuracy and uniformity. Programs run up to five temperature points and repeat up to 99 times. Eleven block formats take 0.2 ml to 50 ml tubes and 96-well plates. Product code PRO4538.
Heating only, or heating and cooling?

A dry bath holds tubes at a set temperature through contact with a metal block, without water. In the ALEMADR-SO dry bath incubator the heat-conducting medium is high-purity aluminium. The temperature is set with the arrow keys on the sloped control panel and shown on the LCD, so there is no thermometer to check and nothing to readjust.

Why a single-block dry bath incubator
Most routine incubation runs need one temperature and one rack of tubes. A single-block instrument does that on 260 × 195 × 150 mm of bench, weighs 2.5 kg and warms up in about twelve minutes. The ALEMADR-SO dry bath incubator adds programs of up to five temperature points that repeat up to 99 times, so a simple step profile runs without anyone changing the set value by hand.
If the protocol needs temperatures at or below room temperature, the ALEMADR-SOC has the same dimensions, the same eleven blocks and adds Peltier cooling down to RT−30 °C.

Operating functions
Temperature
The ALEMADR-SO dry bath incubator is set from 0 °C and controlled from RT+5 °C up to 100 °C, with 0.1 °C on the display and ≤ ±0.3 °C accuracy and uniformity. Because the control range starts five degrees above the room, the lowest working temperature depends on where the instrument stands.
Programs and timer
A program holds up to five temperature points, each with its own time, and repeats up to 99 times. The timer runs from one minute to 99 hours 59 minutes, or continuously, and a buzzer signals the end of the temperature control.
Automatic functions and calibration
Auto heating and auto running are built in, and after a power failure the instrument resumes the run when the supply returns. The user calibration function lets the temperature be set to an in-house standard.
Build, power supply and safe operation
The ALEMADR-SO dry bath incubator is a mains-powered benchtop instrument: 150 W, AC 220 V or AC 110 V at 50/60 Hz, protected by a 250 V 3 A fuse (Ø 5 × 20). Control is microprocessor-based, with fault detection, a buzzer alarm and built-in over-temperature protection; the instrument carries the CE mark.
It measures 260 × 195 × 150 mm and weighs 2.5 kg. Confirm the mains voltage version and the plug type before the order is placed.

Applications and operational value
The ALEMADR-SO dry bath incubator is used for preservation and reaction of samples, DNA amplification, electrophoresis denaturation and serum solidification. The block range covers microtubes, 5 ml to 50 ml tubes and two plate formats, so one instrument serves several protocols by changing the block.
Microtube blocks take 0.2 ml to 2.0 ml tubes, including a mixed 1.5 ml and 0.5 ml block; tube blocks take 5, 10, 15 and 50 ml tubes, the 50 ml in round or conical bottom; plate blocks take a 0.2 ml PCR plate or a 96-well ELISA plate.
Against a water bath the argument is the usual one for dry heat — no water to change and no contamination path.
Selection guide
- Heating only, or heating and cooling? Above room temperature the ALEMADR-SO is enough; at or below room temperature, or for 4 °C storage, choose the ALEMADR-SOC.
- Tube or plate format. One block per instrument — choose from the eleven formats and count the positions per run.
- More samples or several temperatures? Two independent zones: ALEMADR-MI; four blocks with four timers: ALEMADR-MO.
- Shaking or a heated lid? The same blocks fit the ALEMADR-MS and ALEMADR-MSC thermo shakers; for a heated lid choose the ALEMADR-DB.
- Mains voltage. Confirm AC 220 V or AC 110 V and the plug type.
