SC808 Portable Spectrophotometer — 45/0 for traffic signs and reflective sheeting
The SC808 portable spectrophotometer (COLO product code PRO7967) measures the colour of traffic signs, safety colours and retroreflective sheeting — luminance factor and Yxy chromaticity together with CIE Lab and ΔE — with 45/0 geometry: 45° ring illumination and 0° viewing.

Overview
The SC808 evaluates sign faces and sheeting against built-in standard colours on site, with a reflectance range up to 200 % and all 18 illuminants. For general colour work it offers the same spectrum, colour spaces and ΔE formulas as the SC800.

Why this instrument
Traffic-sign inspection needs the luminance factor and chromaticity coordinates of the sign face, compared with the colour areas of the standard. The SC808 shows them directly on the instrument, in the field or at goods receipt of sheeting, without a laboratory instrument.

Software and data
The PC software (free download) stores standards with their tolerances, shows the spectrum and the colour difference, follows trends and exports results for reports. Standards can also be created and measured directly on the instrument.
