ELISA microplate washers: automatic washing of 96-well plates with 8- and 12-channel manifolds

The ELISA microplate washer repeats the step that decides the quality of every immunoassay: dispensing, soaking and aspirating the wash liquid in all wells the same way. With a low residual volume the background stays low, replicates stay close and the standard curve is repeatable. This category covers the FLEXWASH ELISA microplate washers — from compact LCD models with one wash liquid to the touch-screen model with three wash liquids and six bottles.

How to choose an ELISA microplate washer
  • Manifold — 8-channel for strips and partial plates, 12-channel for full plates; both on all FLEXWASH models.
  • Residual volume — ≤ 1 µL per well; the lower the residue, the lower the background.
  • Wash liquids — one wash liquid for one method, three wash liquids (6 bottles) when several assays run in a day without changing bottles.
  • Programs and control — LCD with keypad or touch buttons for routine work, touch screen and up to 100 stored programs for many protocols.
  • Functions — soak, shake, bottom wash and line rinse with distilled water against clogging of the needles.
Highlight: why six bottles

A washer with one wash inlet needs the bottle changed and the lines flushed every time the protocol changes. The FLEXWASH 10 keeps three wash liquids, distilled water for rinsing and a buffer bottle connected at once, so the program selects the liquid and the lines stay clean. See the full comparison on the FLEXWASH series page.
