CP2010 Portable Spectrocolorimeter — d/8, SCI/SCE, Ø8 mm
The CP2010 portable spectrocolorimeter (COLO product code PRO7938) measures colour and colour difference with d/8 geometry — diffuse illumination in an integrating sphere and 8° viewing, with SCI and SCE in one measurement. It is the entry model of the CP20 series: full 400–700 nm reflectance spectrum, the complete set of colour spaces and ΔE formulas and an Ø8 mm aperture for routine colour checks.
Which model?
Overview
Measure the standard once, then every sample shows CIE Lab values, ΔE, pass/fail and the direction of the colour offset. SCI and SCE are measured together, so the influence of gloss is seen in one step. A reference channel monitors the light source and compensates its drift.

Key characteristics
- d/8 geometry, SCI and SCE in one measurement, Ø40 mm sphere
- Full-spectrum LED, reflectance 400–700 nm, range 0–200 %
- Measuring aperture Ø8 mm
- Repeatability ΔE*ab 0.04, inter-instrument agreement ΔE*ab 0.4
- USB, 500 standards and 5 000 samples
Suitable for
- Paints, coatings, inks and printed material
- Plastic parts and plaques, textiles, leather and paper
- Colour quality control with CIE Lab (D65/10°) and ΔE pass/fail in the laboratory, at the line or at goods receipt
Why this instrument
For routine colour control of plastics, paints, textiles and printed matter the CP2010 gives the d/8 measurement with SCI and SCE at an entry-level price. A reference channel monitors the light source, so readings stay stable over a long shift.

Software and data

The PC software (free download) stores standards with their tolerances, shows the spectrum and the colour difference, follows trends and exports results for reports. Standards can also be created and measured directly on the instrument.
Data are transferred by USB.

Selection guide
- Routine colour control with one Ø8 mm aperture: CP2010.
- Optical brighteners (UV), small parts, Bluetooth and camera: CP2050.
- Large panels to narrow details, best repeatability: CP2080.
- Higher accuracy, 3.5″ screen and laboratory-grade data: the CS70 portable series.
- 45/0 geometry (colour as seen, including gloss): the CS45 portable series.
- Transmittance, liquids or haze: a benchtop spectrophotometer is needed — see the CS60 series.
