Flat pH composite electrode for surface measurements and micro‑volume samples.

OVERVIEW

This flat pH composite electrode features a unique flat sensing surface, specially designed for pH measurements on solid or semi-solid materials such as agar plates, paper, textiles, leather, skin, and food surfaces. It is also ideal for small liquid volumes (down to a few microliters) where conventional electrodes cannot be immersed. The flat geometry allows direct contact with the sample, providing accurate and stable readings without sample preparation.

With a pH range of 0–14, a durable polycarbonate body, and a single fabric junction, this electrode combines robustness with reliable performance. The Ag/AgCl reference system ensures stable potential, and the standard BNC(Q9) connector offers direct compatibility with most laboratory pH meters. Ideal for microbiology, quality control, food testing, and surface pH mapping applications.

Product Overview

The flat pH composite electrode is engineered for applications where traditional dip‑type electrodes cannot be used. Its flat sensing surface allows direct contact with solid or semi‑solid samples such as agar plates, paper, leather, textiles, skin, or food products. It is also ideal for small liquid volumes (10–50 µL) where the flat tip simply touches the droplet. The polycarbonate body is impact‑resistant and chemically durable, while the single fabric junction ensures stable liquid junction potential and prevents clogging.

Compatibility notice — connector and meter matching are essential

This electrode features a standard BNC(Q9) connector, widely used on most pH meters. Always verify that your meter accepts BNC input. For meters with S7 connector, an S7‑BNC(Q9) cable is available separately.

General Electrode Notes

  • pH electrodes are available as pH indicator electrode, composite electrode, and 3 in 1 pH composite electrode (with temperature probe).
  • A pH indicator electrode needs to cooperate with a separate reference electrode.
  • A composite electrode combines the pH indicator electrode and reference electrode.
  • A 3 in 1 pH composite electrode combines the pH indicator electrode, reference electrode, and temperature probe.
  • Temperature probes can adjust pH measurements by correcting the electrode slope according to the measured temperature.
  • The connector must be compatible with the meter you are using. Options include S7 [S7-BNC(Q9) cable] and BNC(Q9).

Connector Options & Compatibility

Different meters may require different connection formats. Always confirm connector type before ordering.

Connector / Option Notes
BNC(Q9) This electrode features a standard BNC(Q9) connector. Directly compatible with most pH meters.
S7 For meters with S7 input, use an S7‑BNC(Q9) cable (available separately).
