ALEMADR-MO dry block incubator — four blocks, four timers A/B/C/D, RT+5 °C to 110 °C
The ALEMADR-MO dry block incubator holds four aluminium blocks at one set temperature and times them in four groups, A, B, C and D, that run independently or at the same time. The temperature is set from 0 °C and controlled from RT+5 °C to 110 °C, to ≤ ±0.3 °C at 37 °C. A blue transparent lid keeps samples from splashing out. Eighteen block formats take test tubes of 6 mm to 40 mm diameter, 0.2 ml to 2.0 ml microtubes and 96-well plates. Product code PRO4341.
One temperature, four blocks, four timers — test tubes, microtubes and 96-well plates
A dry bath holds tubes at a set temperature through metal contact, without water. The ALEMADR-MO dry block incubator does it for four blocks at once, all at the same temperature, up to 110 °C. What it adds is timing: each of the four groups A, B, C and D has its own timer, so sample batches loaded at different times are each held for their own time and finish on their own signal.

Why a dry block incubator with four independent timers
In routine work the temperature often stays the same while the samples do not: one rack goes in, another follows twenty minutes later. With one timer for the whole instrument, every batch has to be watched by the clock. The ALEMADR-MO dry block incubator keeps one temperature for all four blocks and gives each of the four groups, A, B, C and D, its own timer.
The block range is wide — eighteen formats, from 48 × 6 mm tubes to 3 × 40 mm vessels, microtubes and two 96-well plate blocks. The main unit is supplied without blocks; they are chosen with the order. If two different temperatures are needed at the same time, the ALEMADR-MI with two independent zones is the instrument for that.
Model, product code and blocks
The ALEMADR-MO dry block incubator is supplied as a main unit with a blue transparent lid. Blocks are chosen separately by tube or plate format and are ordered under their own product codes — four positions per instrument. The two plate blocks are twice the width of a standard block. Quote and order with the COLO product code.

Operating functions
Temperature
The ALEMADR-MO dry block incubator is set from 0 °C and controlled from RT+5 °C up to 110 °C, with 0.1 °C on the display and ≤ ±0.3 °C accuracy and uniformity at 37 °C. All four blocks share the same temperature. Because the control range starts five degrees above the room, the lowest working temperature depends on where the instrument stands.
Timing groups A, B, C and D
Each of the four groups has its own timer, from one minute to 99 hours 59 minutes, or continuous. The groups can be started one by one, as batches are loaded, or all together. The temperature is not set per group — it is the same for the whole block area.
Lid and automatic functions
A blue transparent lid covers the blocks and keeps samples from splashing out. Auto heating and auto running are part of the instrument, and if the power fails the ALEMADR-MO dry block incubator resumes the run when the supply returns. Set and actual values are shown on the LCD screen.
Build, power supply and safe operation
The ALEMADR-MO dry block incubator is a mains-powered benchtop instrument: 500 W, AC 110 V or AC 220 V at 50/60 Hz, protected by a 250 V 3 A fuse (Ø 5 × 20). Heating is microprocessor-controlled, with a built-in temperature calibration function and a built-in over-temperature protection device.
The ALEMADR-MO dry block incubator measures 370 × 254 × 228 mm and weighs 8.0 kg. Confirm the mains voltage version and the plug type before the order is placed.

Applications and operational value
The ALEMADR-MO dry block incubator is used for sample preservation, DNA work, electrophoresis sample preparation, denaturation, solidification and thermostatic incubation of serum and biochemical samples. The range to 110 °C covers heat steps just above boiling, and the four timers keep track of batches that arrive one after another.

Test-tube blocks from 6 mm to 40 mm suit microbiology, clinical chemistry and teaching laboratories; microtube blocks take 0.2 ml to 2.0 ml tubes, and the plate blocks take a 0.2 ml PCR plate or a 96-well ELISA plate.
Against a water bath the argument is the usual one for dry heat — no water to change and no contamination path — with the added point that four sample batches are timed separately on one instrument.
Selection guide
- Tube or plate format first. The blocks decide what the ALEMADR-MO dry block incubator takes: test tubes of 6–40 mm, 0.2–2.0 ml microtubes or a 96-well plate. Count the positions per run before choosing.
- Four block positions. The main unit comes without blocks; a plate block is twice the width of a standard block.
- Two temperatures at once? The ALEMADR-MO has one temperature. For two independent zones choose the ALEMADR-MI.
- Lowest working temperature. Control starts at RT+5 °C. If the protocol holds below room temperature, choose the ALEMADR-MC with heating and cooling.
- Heated lid or higher temperature? For a heated lid choose the ALEMADR-DB; for up to 160 °C, the ALEMADR-SB.
- Mains voltage. Confirm AC 110 V or AC 220 V and the plug type for the country of use.
