The VISCO900 digital rotational viscometer supports viscosity testing where the user must select the correct spindle, rotational speed, sample temperature and measurement method. It displays dynamic viscosity, kinematic viscosity, temperature, shear rate, shear stress, torque percentage, spindle, speed, date and time.

Define the viscosity range before ordering
A digital rotational viscometer must be matched to the expected sample viscosity, measuring temperature and required speed conditions. The standard VISCO900 package contains four application-selected spindles. A complete seven-spindle set can be ordered when the viscosity range is broad, future samples are unknown or the instrument will support method development.

Useful for wider sample variability, new-product development and laboratories that do not yet know the final viscosity window.

Temperature control, data output and reporting options
Standard Pt100 probe
The supplied Pt100 Class A probe monitors sample temperature from -20 to 300 °C with 0.1 °C resolution.
Optional bath systems

How to choose the correct VISCO900 configuration
Choosing a digital rotational viscometer is not only a question of maximum viscosity range. The real measurement window depends on sample type, spindle geometry, rotational speed, sample temperature, measuring time and torque range. For non-Newtonian samples, the reported result should include spindle, speed, temperature and measurement time so that the method can be repeated.
VISCO900E is suitable where the standard speed set is enough for the method. VISCO900S offers a wider speed program down to 0.3 rpm and is a better choice when low-speed measurement or broader method development is required.
