VISCO900 digital rotational viscometers combine a 5-inch color touch screen, automatic scanning, real-time viscosity curves, Pt100 temperature measurement and programmable test methods. The series supports routine and advanced viscosity testing in paints, coatings, cosmetics, inks, food, oils, adhesives, latex and other laboratory or production applications.

Method-development note: Viscosity range alone is not sufficient for final selection. Provide the expected minimum and maximum viscosity, sample temperature, sample type, available volume and required shear/speed conditions so the correct model, spindle set and temperature-control accessory can be confirmed.

Spindle Selection and Standard Configuration
Required before quotation: define the working viscosity rangeThe four standard spindles are selected according to the customer’s application. Please provide the expected minimum and maximum viscosity, measuring temperature and sample description. Ordering the wrong spindle range may prevent the instrument from producing a valid measurement at the required speed and torque.

Why spindle and speed must be considered together
The measurable range and generated torque depend on the combined selection of spindle geometry and rotational speed. VISCO900 automatically recommends an appropriate combination, but the ordered spindle set must physically cover the sample’s expected viscosity window.
For non-Newtonian materials, report the spindle, speed, temperature and measurement time together with the viscosity result to support method repeatability.

Confirm the working range before selecting the spindle package

The standard package contains four application-selected spindles. Choose the complete seven-spindle set when the viscosity range is broad, future samples are unknown or the instrument will support method development.
