CC10 Portable Colorimeter — 8/d, Ø4 mm, CIE Lab
The CC10 portable colorimeter (COLO product code PRO7981) is the entry model of the CC series: a tristimulus colorimeter with 8/d geometry and a small Ø4 mm aperture that measures CIE Lab and the colour difference ΔE*ab against a stored standard. It is made for teaching, training and orientation colour checks.
Which model?
Overview
Measure the standard once, then every sample shows the colour values, ΔE, pass/fail and the direction of the colour offset. A colorimeter measures colour as three values under one illuminant — the simple and economical tool for colour difference control.

Key characteristics
- 8/d geometry, silicon photodiode detector
- Measuring aperture Ø4 mm with cross positioning
- CIE Lab and ΔE*ab, illuminant D65
- 100 standards and 10 000 samples in the instrument
- Li-ion battery 3 200 mAh, optional micro printer
Suitable for
- Schools, universities and training courses in colour measurement
- Orientation colour checks of small parts and samples
- Comparison of a sample with a reference by CIE Lab and ΔE*ab
Why this instrument
For schools, training courses and quick orientation checks the CC10 shows the principle of colour measurement — standard, sample, ΔE and pass/fail — at the lowest cost. It has no white calibration plate, so it is not meant for contractual colour tolerances; for those choose the CC200 or a spectrocolorimeter.

Data
Results are stored in the instrument (100 standards, 10 000 samples) and can be printed on the optional micro printer. The CC10 has no PC software — for data handling on the PC choose the CC200.

Selection guide
- Teaching, training and orientation checks: CC10.
- Routine colour difference control with PC software: CC200.
- Textured, uneven or wet samples (food, textiles, granules): CC20XE.
- Spectral data, SCI/SCE, UV and more illuminants: the CP20 spectrocolorimeters.
- Laboratory-grade accuracy and colour matching: the CS70 portable spectrophotometers.
- Transmittance, liquids or haze: a benchtop spectrophotometer is needed — see the CS60 series.
