STOLAB Laboratory Bag Blender — one series, three models
The STOLAB laboratory bag blender homogenizes food, cosmetic, pharmaceutical and tissue samples in disposable sterile bags for microbiological testing. Two stainless-steel paddles beat the bag against the closed door, so the sample never touches the instrument and nothing has to be washed between samples. The series has three models — choose the one that matches your workflow.
Three models — choose by function
Overview
Every STOLAB model works with the same sterile bags of 17 × 30 cm and the same volume range of 3–400 ml, so methods and consumables stay the same whichever model you choose. The difference is in control and hygiene: programs and UV disinfection of the chamber start with STOLAB100, chamber heating is available only with STOLAB200.

Key characteristics
- Volume: 3–400 ml per bag, sterile bags 17 × 30 cm.
- Paddle rate: 3–12 strokes/s (STOLAB100, STOLAB200); 6–9 strokes/s (STOLAB50).
- Time: 0.1 s to 99 min 59 s or continuous (STOLAB100, STOLAB200).
- Programs: 8 multi-step program groups, real-time display of the running status.
- Alarms: voice alarm for short circuit, open circuit and over-temperature; voice reminder at the end of the set time.
- UV disinfection: 253.7 nm lamp in the chamber, 5-minute cycle (STOLAB100, STOLAB200).
Suitable for
- Initial suspensions and decimal dilutions in food microbiology
- Microbial limit testing of cosmetics and non-sterile pharmaceuticals
- Gentle disaggregation of animal tissue and biological samples
- Environmental swabs, sponges and filters in a bag with diluent
Why a laboratory bag blender
A laboratory bag blender releases microorganisms from the surface and the inside of a solid sample without cutting it into a slurry and without heating it. The sample and the diluent stay in a closed sterile bag, so there is no cross-contamination between samples, no blender jar to wash and autoclave, and the suspension can be pipetted directly — through the filter side when filter bags are used.
Details that make daily work easier
- Sample stays in the bag: no contact with any part of the instrument and no cross-contamination.
- Safety door: mirror stainless-steel frame with tempered glass; a photoelectric sensor stops the paddles when the door is opened.
- Stainless-steel chamber: paddle box in stainless steel with anti-corrosion coating; strike plate with convex profile.
- Long runs: ventilation openings on three sides keep the instrument cool in continuous work.
- Easy cleaning: removable door handle; no utensils to wash or sterilize between samples.

Safety and good laboratory practice
- Bag position: clamp the bag so that the open end stays above the door.
- Door: the instrument stops automatically when the door is opened.
- Sharp pieces: bones and hard particles can puncture the bag — use reinforced or filter bags.
- Biosafety: handle samples and used bags according to local laboratory rules.
- Spills: clean the stainless-steel chamber immediately after a bag leak.
- UV cycle: STOLAB100 and STOLAB200 can disinfect the chamber between runs.
