Staphylococcus aureus CMCC(B) 26003 is a qualitative reference strain for growth-promotion testing of staphylococcal media, for positive controls in the coagulase test and for pharmacopoeial microbial limit tests.

How Staphylococcus aureus QC Strain is used
The lyophilised culture is rehydrated with 1 mL of the supplied fluid, spread on a non-selective agar and subcultured. Purity and typical colony appearance are checked before use.

Working with Staphylococcus aureus QC Strain: Subculture the strain no more than five times from the original vial and record the passage number.
