Handling tips for accurate results
- Press the pipette firmly into the tip with a slight twist – a good seal is the basis of accurate volumes.
- Pre-wet the tip once or twice with the sample before the measured aspiration, especially with viscous liquids and detergents.
- Aspirate slowly with the tip just below the liquid surface and dispense against the vessel wall.
- Use a new tip for every sample; with sterile work open the rack only next to the working area.
- Store tips in their original packaging, protected from dust and direct sunlight.
