MULTIROOM Benchtop IVF Incubator · 4 and 10 Chambers · Dry and Humidified Culture
The MULTIROOM benchtop IVF incubator cultures gametes and embryos in small, separate chambers — one chamber per patient — instead of one large cabinet. Opening one chamber does not disturb the others, and the small volume returns to the set conditions quickly. Three models: MULTIROOM-4D for dry culture with 4 chambers, CO2 and O2 control and RFID tracking (PRO4216), MULTIROOM-4H for humidified culture with 4 chambers (PRO6062), and MULTIROOM-10 with 10 individual chambers and CO2 and O2 sensors (PRO7352).
MULTIROOM models and order codes
| Model | Order code | Culture | Chambers | Gas supply | Gas control | Special features |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| MULTIROOM-4D | PRO4216 | Dry | 4 (+4 with 4DX) | pure CO2 + N2, mixed in the unit | CO2 2–10 %, O2 2–20 % | RFID, e-ink labels |
| MULTIROOM-4H | PRO6062 | Humidified | 4 | premixed gas, flow control | on request | 2 humidifiers, tube warm-up bin |
| MULTIROOM-10 | PRO7352 | Dry, individual chambers | 10 | CO2 + N2 inlets | CO2 and O2 sensors | HEPA/VOC filter, network, alarm output |
| MULTIROOM-4DX | PRO7353 | Expansion module for the MULTIROOM-4D: 4 more chambers, 310 × 550 × 210 mm, gas and control from the main unit | ||||
All models follow the same idea: small separate chambers, one per patient, with labels on the lids. They differ in the culture type, the number of chambers and the gas set-up. Tell us how many patients you culture at once and whether you work dry or humidified, and we will propose the model.
IVF incubator with one chamber per patient
In a large IVF incubator every opening lets the gas out for all dishes inside. The MULTIROOM concept splits the culture space into small chambers with their own lids. Each patient gets a chamber; only that chamber is opened, and e-ink labels on the lids show who is inside and at what temperature. The compact units stand next to the ICSI or embryo workstation, so dishes spend less time outside culture conditions.

Key features
- 4 or 10 separate culture chambers, one patient per chamber
- Dry culture (4D, 10) or humidified culture (4H)
- MULTIROOM-4D: 25 °C to 42 °C, ±0.1 °C; CO2 2–10 % and O2 2–20 %, ±0.1 %
- E-ink label on each lid with patient and temperature
- RFID operator tags and chamber locks; dish tracking in and out (4D)
- HEPA gas filter; HEPA/VOC filter in the MULTIROOM-10
- Expansion module 4DX adds 4 chambers to the 4D
- Touch-screen control, benchtop size
Suitable for
- Culture of oocytes, fertilised oocytes and embryos in IVF and ICSI laboratories
- One-chamber-per-patient workflows with traceable dishes
- Low-oxygen culture with controlled O2
- Satellite or backup incubator next to the workstation
- Research on embryo development and culture media

Why a multiroom benchtop IVF incubator
Embryos react to every change of temperature, pH and oxygen. In a multiroom incubator only one small chamber is opened at a time, so the other patients’ dishes stay undisturbed and the opened chamber recovers fast. Labels on the lids and RFID tracking remove handwritten notes and the risk of putting a dish in the wrong place.
Choose dry culture when you work with oil-covered drops and want the simplest hygiene; choose humidified culture when your protocol needs humidity in the chamber. For larger clinics, the MULTIROOM-10 gives 10 chambers in one unit.

The three models
MULTIROOM-4D · dry culture
Four chambers with CO2 and O2 control from pure CO2 and N2 gas, mixed in the unit. Chambers can be locked and opened only by operators with an RFID tag, and each chamber registers RFID-tagged dishes going in and out. One chamber can be equipped for droplet temperature and pH monitoring (optional). The 4DX module adds four more chambers.
MULTIROOM-4H · humidified culture
Four chambers with the same dish capacity as the 4D, two humidifiers and premixed gas with flow control. A tube warm-up bin keeps tubes and media at temperature next to the chambers.
MULTIROOM-10 · ten chambers
Ten individual culture chambers on ten heated plates, a built-in touch screen with programs, a CO2 sensor and an O2 sensor, and a HEPA/VOC gas filter with two inline filters. A network port and an alarm output connect it to the lab monitoring.
Gas supply, installation and maintenance
The MULTIROOM-4D and MULTIROOM-10 work with CO2 and N2 cylinders, the MULTIROOM-4H with a premixed gas cylinder; set the regulators to 1 bar at the inlet. For the MULTIROOM-10, a pressure-reducing valve set is available when the supply pressure is higher.
Replace the HEPA/VOC filter and the inline filters every 3 months and the O2 sensor once a year (MULTIROOM-10). All models run on AC 220 V, 50 Hz and stand on a bench in a room at 18 °C to 30 °C.
