MBINCOSD CO2 Incubator · 140 °C Sterilization · 90 to 240 L

The MBINCOSD CO2 incubator keeps cell and tissue cultures at a stable temperature from RT+5 °C to 60 °C (±0.1 °C), a CO2 atmosphere from 0 to 20 % (±0.1 %) and high humidity, and sterilizes its own chamber with a 140 °C high-temperature program. Air-jacket heating, a far-infrared CO2 sensor, a HEPA filter in the circulating air and a true-colour touch screen are common to all three sizes: 90 L (PRO3401), 180 L (PRO3402) and 240 L (PRO3969).

MBINCOSD models and order codes

Model Order code Chamber volume Inner chamber W × D × H Exterior W × D × H Shelves Power
MBINCOSD 90L PRO3401 90 L 420 × 400 × 550 mm 580 × 650 × 775 mm 3 0.5 kW
MBINCOSD 180L PRO3402 180 L 550 × 500 × 680 mm 710 × 770 × 900 mm 4 0.7 kW
MBINCOSD 240L PRO3969 240 L 600 × 600 × 700 mm 760 × 860 × 930 mm 4 1.0 kW

All three models share the same controller, CO2 system, air duct, HEPA filter and 140 °C sterilization; they differ in chamber size, shelves and power. Not sure which size you need? Send the vessel type and how many you incubate at once, and we will propose the model.

CO2 incubator with in-place 140 °C sterilization

The chamber is formed in one piece from 304 mirror stainless steel, with rounded seamless corners, and everything inside can be taken out quickly. A built-in air duct moves clean, moist air slowly and evenly through the chamber, so all cultures see the same conditions and do not dry out. Between runs, one program heats the chamber to 140 °C and sterilizes every inner surface.

Why choose an incubator with 140 °C sterilization

Contamination is the main risk in long cell-culture work. With MBINCOSD the whole chamber is sterilized in place: there is no need to take the shelves and parts out and autoclave them one by one. The 140 °C program removes fungi, moulds, vegetative bacteria and spores from all inner surfaces.

The far-infrared CO2 sensor is not affected by temperature and humidity, so the set CO2 returns quickly after the door is opened and the sensor does not need frequent calibration. The heated glass door and the HEPA filter in the air path keep the chamber clean between sterilization runs.

Operating functions

Touch-screen control

A PID microcomputer with a true-colour touch screen replaces push buttons. Temperature, humidity and CO2 are shown as real-time curves with a summary view, and data are read out over USB. Timed operation and power-failure memory are built in.

Access levels and safety

Three password levels — administrator, experimenter and operator — protect the settings from operating errors. An over-temperature sound and light alarm cuts off the heating, a CO2 alarm warns of too high or too low concentration, and operation stops when the door is opened.

Gentle air circulation

The circulating fan adjusts its speed automatically, so samples do not evaporate because of too much air flow.

Construction, supply and safe operation

The inner chamber is one piece of 304 mirror stainless steel with rounded seamless corners; the water tray at the bottom is also one-piece stainless steel, easy to fill and clean. The inner glass door is heated, so it stays free of condensation and does not become a source of microbial contamination.

All models run on AC 220 V, 50/60 Hz, from 0.5 kW (90 L) to 1.0 kW (240 L). Place the incubator on a stable, level surface with an earthed socket, and connect a CO2 cylinder with a pressure regulator to the CO2 inlet.

Standard delivery and options

  • MBINCOSD CO2 incubator in the chosen size.
  • Shelves: 3 (90 L) or 4 (180 L and 240 L).
  • Option: O2 control — O2 gas fed into the chamber and its amount controlled.
  • Option: RS485 interface for remote control, data analysis and export.
  • Option: mobile app for remote monitoring.

The CO2 cylinder and pressure regulator are not part of the delivery. The configuration for a specific order is the one confirmed in the COLO.Science quotation.

Applications

CO2 incubators are used in research and production in microbiology, medicine, pharmacy, environmental protection, food and animal science. Typical work includes cell dynamics studies, collection of mammalian cell secretions, carcinogenicity and toxicology tests, antigen production and hybridoma culture for antibodies.

In vitro fertilization, stem cells, tissue engineering and drug screening need the same stable temperature, CO2 and humidity — and a chamber that is easy to keep clean. With the O2 control option the incubator also controls the oxygen level.

How to choose

  • 90 L — one user or a small number of flasks and plates; 3 shelves.
  • 180 L — a shared incubator for a group; 4 shelves.
  • 240 L — the largest chamber, for core facilities and larger series; 4 shelves.
  • Need moist-heat sterilization, sterilization up to 180 °C, or a 50 L size? See the MBINCO-HT CO2 incubator series.

Configuration note

Tell us the cell type, the vessels and how many you incubate at once, and whether you need O2 control or remote monitoring. COLO.Science will confirm the model and the options in the quotation.
