MBINCO-HT CO2 Incubator · Air Jacket · 50 to 180 L

The MBINCO-HT CO2 incubator keeps cell, tissue and microbial cultures at a stable temperature from RT+5 °C to 55 °C, a controlled CO2 atmosphere from 0 to 20 % and high humidity. Six-side air-jacket heating, an infrared CO2 sensor and a 5.0-inch touch screen are common to all four chamber sizes: 50 L (PRO7049), 80 L (PRO7050), 150 L (PRO7051) and 180 L (PRO7052). Between runs the chamber is decontaminated by a built-in moist-heat cycle at 90 °C, and the 80, 150 and 180 L models also by high-temperature sterilization up to 180 °C.

All four models share the same controller, CO2 system, humidification and filters; they differ in chamber size, shelves, power and the sterilization cycle. Not sure which size you need? Send the vessel type and how many you incubate at once, and we will propose the model.

CO2 incubator for cell culture and microbiology

Heated air flows around the chamber on all six sides, so the temperature is even from the top shelf to the bottom one and comes back quickly after the door is opened. A water pan in the chamber base keeps humidity high, and a heated door stops condensation on the inner glass door. A HEPA filter in the chamber and an intake filter keep the air around the cultures clean.

Why an air-jacket CO2 incubator

An air jacket heats the chamber walls directly, so there is no water jacket to fill, drain or watch for leaks, and the incubator is lighter to move and install. The designed air duct spreads heat across all shelves, and the PID controller brings the temperature back quickly after the door has been open.

The infrared CO2 sensor measures the gas itself, so the reading does not shift with humidity or door openings the way a thermal-conductivity sensor can. Together with the built-in sterilization cycle this keeps the culture conditions stable and the chamber clean from one experiment to the next.

Operating functions

MBINCO-HT home screen with temperature, CO2 and timerMBINCO-HT sterilization guide on the touch screen

Temperature and CO2 on one screen

The home view shows measured and set temperature, CO2 concentration and run time side by side. Run, stop, light and screen lock are one touch away.

Timer and operating modes

Fixed-value operation, timed operation from 0 to 9999 min and automatic stop. With timing-wait, the countdown starts only when the chamber has reached the set temperature.

Sterilization guide

The screen leads through each cycle: remove samples and filter, drain the water pan, close the door. The moist-heat cycle runs in four stages — heating, disinfection at 90 °C, condensation and cooling. High-temperature sterilization on the 80, 150 and 180 L models heats the chamber up to 180 °C, holds it for the set time and cools down. A reminder can prompt when the next cycle is due.

Access, alarms and records

Three user levels — operator, maintenance and administrator — protect settings with passwords. Alarms and every change of set points are logged, temperature and CO2 history is shown as curves, and data is exported to a USB drive as CSV or PDF.

Construction, supply and safe operation

The inner chamber is SUS304 stainless steel; the outer cabinet is cold-rolled steel with electrostatic powder coating. The gas port of Ø 27 mm at the rear has a test port for checking the chamber atmosphere. PT100, infrared CO2 and water level sensors feed the controller; sensor offset correction, overshoot self-tuning, parameter lock and power-off memory are built in.

All models run on AC 220 V, 50/60 Hz, from 0.4 kW (50 L) to 0.7 kW (180 L). Place the incubator on a stable, level surface with an earthed socket, and connect a CO2 cylinder with a pressure regulator to the gas inlet. Over-temperature, CO2 concentration, door-open and low-water alarms warn the user before the culture conditions are lost.

Standard delivery and options

  • MBINCO-HT CO2 incubator in the chosen size.
  • 2 shelves and 4 shelf supports.
  • Option: additional shelves up to 4, 5, 6 or 7 by model.
  • Option: micro printer for records from the controller.
  • Option: infrared CO2 sensor for the 90 °C moist-heat cycle.

The CO2 cylinder and pressure regulator are not part of the delivery. The configuration for a specific order is the one confirmed in the COLO.Science quotation.

Applications

Most cell culture runs at 37 °C and 5 % CO2, where the bicarbonate buffer in the medium holds the pH. MBINCO-HT keeps both values stable, while the water pan keeps evaporation from dishes and well plates low.

Beyond cell culture, a CO2 atmosphere supports capnophilic bacteria in clinical and food microbiology, virus propagation and antibody production. Built-in sterilization makes the incubator a good fit where several users share one unit and the chamber must be clean between projects.

How to choose the size

  • 50 L — one user or a small number of flasks and plates; moist-heat sterilization.
  • 80 L — a small group; adds high-temperature sterilization up to 180 °C.
  • 150 L — a shared incubator for several projects, up to 6 shelves.
  • 180 L — the largest chamber, up to 7 shelves, for core facilities and production runs.

Configuration note

Tell us the cell type or organism, the vessels and how many you incubate at once, and whether you need high-temperature sterilization. COLO.Science will confirm the model, the number of shelves and the options in the quotation.
