BSCAB15 Biological Safety Cabinet Class III · Gas-tight · Double ULPA Exhaust
The BSCAB15 biological safety cabinet Class III gives the highest level of protection for work with high-risk agents. The work zone is totally enclosed and gas-tight, kept at a stable negative pressure, and the operator works only through the gloves. Supply air is ULPA-filtered and all exhaust air passes through two ULPA filters in series.
Biological safety cabinet Class III for high-containment laboratories
A biological safety cabinet Class III is a closed glove box: there is no open front, so operator, sample and room are separated by a physical barrier. Materials enter and leave through a side pass box with its own UV decontamination, and nothing is recirculated into the room.

Key features
- Class III: totally enclosed, gas-tight work zone
- Supply ULPA filter and 2 × ULPA exhaust filters in series, 99.9995 % at 0.12 µm
- Stable negative pressure ≥ 120 Pa, continuously displayed
- Visual and audible alarms for loss of pressure and filter replacement
- 800 mm butyl rubber gloves, one piece, chemical-resistant
- Side pass box with independent UV decontamination
- 8 mm toughened safety glass, ergonomically inclined front
- SUS304 stainless steel work zone, LED lighting ≥ 1000 lx
Suitable for
- High-containment laboratories working with risk group 3 and 4 agents
- Reference and public-health laboratories handling dangerous pathogens
- Infectious disease research and vaccine development
- Work that needs a physical barrier between operator and sample
How the biological safety cabinet Class III protects you, the sample and the room
- Supply air — enters through the supply ULPA filter and protects the sample.
- Gas-tight work zone — negative pressure ≥ 120 Pa; work only through the gloves.
- Exhaust — two ULPA filters in series; no recirculation into the room.

Operating functions
Pressure monitoring and alarms
A pressure sensor shows the negative pressure in the work zone continuously on the LCD display. Visual and audible alarms warn of loss of pressure and of a filter that needs replacement; settings are retained after a power failure.
Work through the gloves
The inclined front and glove ports at working height make long work comfortable. The 800 mm butyl rubber gloves are made in one piece and resist chemicals and disinfectants.
Pass box and decontamination
The side pass box has its own UV decontamination. The gas-tight cabinet is suitable for total decontamination; an integrated decontamination system with port and valves is available as an option.
Construction, installation and care
The BSCAB15 biological safety cabinet Class III has a smooth SUS304 stainless steel work zone and a cold-rolled steel body with antibacterial powder coating; a drain valve makes cleaning easy. It is delivered on a base stand: check the door width and ceiling height against the package size of 1890 × 1065 × 2250 mm and plan the exhaust duct route if the duct connection is ordered.
Standard delivery and options
- BSCAB15 biological safety cabinet Class III on base stand, with pass box, 1 pair of butyl gloves, LED lighting, UV lamps, remote control, pressure meter and drain valve.
- CE Declaration of Conformity.
- Option: exhaust duct connection to a dedicated duct leading outside the building.
- Option: integrated decontamination system (formaldehyde, H₂O₂ or equivalent) with hermetic port, valves and connectors.
- Option: pass box interlock and alarm for unsafe opening of ports.
- Option: airflow sensor and data logging.
- Option: protected internal electrical sockets.
The configuration for a specific order is the one confirmed in the COLO.Science quotation.

How to choose
- BSCAB15 — when the work requires a closed, gas-tight barrier between operator and sample.
- Open-front work with sample protection? See the BSCAB2 biological safety cabinet Class II A2.
- Only operator protection for low-risk work? See the BSCAB150 mini biosafety cabinet Class I.
Configuration note
Tell us the agents you work with, the room layout and the decontamination method you use. COLO.Science will confirm the configuration of the biological safety cabinet Class III in the quotation.
