The ORSHAH orbital shaking incubator shakes flasks on a Ø20 mm orbit from 20 to 300 rpm inside a temperature-controlled chamber. ORSHAH (PRO3344) heats from 5 °C above room temperature to 65 °C in a 50 L chamber; ORSHAHC (PRO3345) also cools, from 4 °C to 65 °C, in a 70 L chamber that takes flasks up to 1000 ml.

Both models share the Ø20 mm orbit, the 20–300 rpm speed range, the brushless DC motor, the LCD controller and the large observation window. Choose ORSHAHC when you need to run below room temperature or want the larger 70 L chamber for 1000 ml flasks.
Benchtop orbital shaking incubator for flask culture
A brushless DC motor drives the spring wire tray with high speed accuracy and a slow start, so the liquid does not splash when the run begins. Horizontal air convection keeps the temperature even across the chamber. Through the large window with an inner LED light you can check the flasks without stopping the shaking.

Heating only or heating and cooling?
ORSHAH heats only, so its lowest temperature is about 5 °C above the room. That is enough for most microbiology at 30–37 °C. If the room is warm, or you need 4–25 °C for slow growth, protein expression or cooled reactions, choose ORSHAHC with active cooling.

Operating functions
One controller for temperature, speed and time
The LCD shows the set and the measured temperature and speed. Set a time from 0 to 9999 minutes, or 0 for continuous running; at the end the shaking stops automatically.
Gentle start, steady speed
The speed rises gradually to the setpoint and is held within ±1 rpm. If the speed ever gets out of control, the drive locks itself.
Safety
An over-temperature alarm, a door switch that stops the shaking when the lid opens, a menu lock and power-failure memory, which resumes the run with the same settings after a power cut.
Construction, installation and care
The chamber is mirror stainless steel, the housing ABS and the window resin. Place the incubator on a firm, level bench that does not vibrate, with free space at the back for ventilation, and connect it to an earthed 220 V socket. Spread the flasks evenly over the tray and fill them to about a quarter of their volume for good aeration. Clean with a neutral detergent; do not use solvents on the window.

How to choose
- ORSHAH, 50 L — heating only; up to 16 × 100 ml, 10 × 250 ml or 6 × 500 ml flasks.
- ORSHAHC, 70 L — heating and cooling; up to 28 × 100 ml, 15 × 250 ml, 8 × 500 ml or 6 × 1000 ml flasks.
- Speed — 100–250 rpm for most cultures; up to 300 rpm with small flasks.
- Tubes and microplates? A thermo shaker with exchangeable blocks is often the better choice.
