POLAR86-588E ULT freezer −86 °C — 588 L, upright
POLAR86-588E is an ultra-low temperature freezer for safe long-term storage of biological samples at −80 °C. Large shared freezer for institutes and core facilities with high sample volumes. The cabinet reaches −86 °C, controls temperature with a PTC100 probe and warns the user through ten independent alarms, including a 72-hour battery-backed power-failure alarm.

Alarms and data
High/low temperature, power failure, abnormal voltage, sensor error, door ajar, filter check, thermostat failure, low battery, condenser clean, high ambient temperature. Alarms are audible and visual; the remote alarm contact can be connected to a building management or SMS alarm system, and the USB port exports temperature records for audits.

Delivery, carrying-in and installation
The unit weighs 345.5 kg packed. Delivery to your building is included in our offer; carrying the freezer into the laboratory and positioning it need several people and handling equipment, so we quote this separately once we know the route (floor, lift, narrowest door). Plan at least 10–15 cm free space behind and beside the cabinet for ventilation.
