COLO.Science — Benchtop turbidity meter for laboratory workflows

Wide-range turbidity measurement up to 1000 NTU

VIKING256 is positioned as the wide-range model within the VIKING250 platform. It is selected when routine samples may exceed low-turbidity drinking-water levels and measurement coverage up to 1000 NTU is required.

The range-dependent resolution supports low, medium and high turbidity samples: 0.01 NTU in the 0–20 NTU range, 0.1 NTU in the 20–200 NTU range and 1 NTU in the 200–1000 NTU range.

Why choose the VIKING256 laboratory turbidity meter?

Technical verification note

VIKING256 is presented here as a wide-range 0–1000 NTU turbidity meter. Final accuracy, calibration package and supplied accessories should be confirmed through the official quotation and manufacturer-approved documentation for the delivered configuration.

Applications in water quality and laboratory control

Turbidity is an important indicator of suspended particles, filtration performance and overall sample clarity. VIKING256 is suitable for routine turbidity analysis where the sample range may extend beyond low drinking-water values and up to 1000 NTU coverage is required.

Typical application areas

  • Drinking water and water treatment laboratories.
  • Wastewater, effluent and treatment-process control.
  • Surface water, rivers, lakes and environmental monitoring.
  • Industrial process water and cooling-water systems.
  • Food and beverage process-water clarity checks.

Workflow support

  • Formazin calibration standards and zero-water workflows.
  • Stored calibration and measurement records.
  • USB / RS-232 data transfer for reporting.
  • Glass cuvette handling for repeatable measurements.
  • GLP-oriented review of measurement data.

Standard delivery and configuration

The typical configuration includes the VIKING256 main unit, calibration standards, high-precision glass cuvettes, dust cover, light-tight measuring slot, power cord, USB cable and instruction manual. The final scope of supply depends on the selected package and is confirmed by the official quotation.

Correct turbidity measurement depends on clean cuvettes, suitable calibration standards, stable measurement conditions and the correct sample preparation procedure.
