COLO.SCIENCE – PORTABLE SPECTROPHOTOMETERS
Why SC810 is a practical color QC choice
SC810 is a handheld spectro-colorimeter for stable, accurate reflectance and color measurement in production and laboratory environments. It is positioned for color quality control and color management workflows, with PC software expansion, chromatic diagrams and data export capabilities (TXT/CSV).
Typical applications include plastics/electronics, paint & coating, textile printing & dyeing, printing paper, automotive, medical/cosmetics and food industries, plus research institutions and laboratories.
Key features (high-signal)
- Diffused illumination geometry: d/0 (0° viewing) with SCI support, or d/8 (8° viewing) depending on version / listing.
- Light source: combined LED + pulsed Xenon (high lifetime, low power consumption).
- Detector: silicon photodiode cell array (large photosensitive area).
- 3.5″ TFT true color LCD with capacitive touch control.
- Large storage capacity: sample data up to 30,000 records (standard data 1,000).
Where it fits best
- Incoming QC and batch-to-batch color control.
- Color matching and tolerance control (PASS/WARN/FAIL).
- Process monitoring in plastics, coatings, textiles and printing.
- Lab verification: spectral curves + colorimetric values + indices (WI/YI/TI, etc.).
PRACTICAL USE & CHECKLISTS
Daily setup checklist (fast)
1) Ensure the white/black calibration cavities are clean and seated. 2) Perform white calibration on the standard board/cavity before measurement. 3) Select illuminant/observer (2° and/or 10°, depending on your method) and tolerance model (ΔE*94 / CMC / CIE2000) for QC workflows.
For production: measure your standard (master) first, then run samples with PASS/WARN/FAIL prompts, store batch records, and export TXT/CSV via PC software when needed.
COLO.Science & deployment
COLO.Science can help define your measurement SOP (illuminant/observer, tolerance formula, apertures, QC limits), align PC software reporting, and propose accessories for powders/liquids/pastes if required by your workflow.
If your application needs specific test fixtures or options not listed, we can propose a matching technical solution (accessory-driven).
