BIOPREP-6 — DNA/RNA/Protein Homogenizer (3D Rotating High-Speed Motion)
OVERVIEW
BIOPREP is designed for sample preparation and cell lysis — fast, effective and reproducible homogenization of a wide range of samples,
including tissues and cells that are hard to lyse. It delivers strong performance even on impact-resistant samples such as bone or cartilage, enabling
release of DNA, RNA, proteins, enzymes and more while retaining molecular integrity.
Using disposable tubes pre-filled with lysing beads, BIOPREP vigorously and uniformly shakes the tubes for efficient, consistent, high-yield
homogenization — typically in < 35 seconds. Compatible downstream analyses include DNA/RNA electrophoresis, liquid chromatography,
Western blot and more.

FAQ
What is BIOPREP-6 used for?
soft and tough samples, including tissues, micro-organisms and impact-resistant matrices.
Which tube formats are supported?
tube type and bead size to your sample and downstream protocol.
How do I set speed and time for my protocol?
Start with a validated protocol (sample type + beads + buffer) and fine-tune speed/time to maximize yield while preserving analyte integrity.
How do we prevent cross-contamination between samples?
sample prep areas separated when working with high-risk or high-copy samples.
Is BIOPREP-6 suitable for very tough samples (bone/cartilage)?
volume and cycle settings. For extreme samples, multi-cycle programs are typically used.
