MODEL SELECTION NOTE
VIKING-PH200 is a practical routine benchtop pH/mV meter
VIKING-PH200 is suitable when the laboratory needs a robust benchtop pH meter with a larger 6.0″ LCD, simple reading modes, ATC / MTC compensation and basic data memory. For higher precision, larger GLP memory or advanced multi-point calibration, VIKING-PH150 or a higher model may be selected.

Applications and laboratory value
Water quality laboratories
VIKING-PH200 supports routine pH, mV and temperature checks in drinking water, process water and wastewater workflows.
Education and training
The large LCD, simple prompts and 1–3 point calibration make the instrument suitable for teaching laboratories and student practice.
Food and beverage QA/QC
Stable pH measurement, ATC / MTC compensation and NIST buffer calibration support routine QC checks in food, beverage and dairy laboratories.
General laboratory screening
Auto-Hold, 50 stored results and IP54 housing make VIKING-PH200 a practical everyday benchtop instrument.
pH electrode care and measurement reliability
Reliable pH measurement depends strongly on electrode care. The pH electrode should be stored in suitable storage solution, rinsed between samples and calibrated with fresh buffer solutions before measurement sessions. Poor electrode storage, contaminated junctions or old buffers can cause slow response, drifting readings and failed calibration even when the meter itself is functioning correctly.
For best results, choose a pH electrode that matches the sample matrix. Standard 3-in-1 glass pH electrodes are suitable for many aqueous samples, while food, low-ionic, spear, flat-surface or special-purpose electrodes may be required for specific laboratory methods.
How to choose the correct VIKING-PH200 configuration
When selecting a benchtop pH meter, the laboratory should define the expected pH range, required accuracy, sample temperature range, electrode type, buffer set, reading mode and documentation requirements. VIKING-PH200 is suitable when the application requires robust routine pH/mV measurement, simple operation, ATC / MTC compensation, NIST buffer recognition and basic result memory.
For routine water quality, education and QA/QC workflows, VIKING-PH200 provides a strong balance between usability, robustness and price. For applications requiring 0.001 pH resolution, larger GLP memory or advanced calibration features, COLO.Science can recommend an alternative VIKING benchtop pH model.
Configuration notice — electrode and delivery kit must be confirmed
VIKING-PH200 should be selected according to measurement range, electrode type, sample matrix, temperature compensation requirements, buffer set, reading mode, documentation needs and final delivery configuration. Available electrode configuration, buffer solutions, electrode stand, adapter and final kit contents should be confirmed before quotation.
