Final measurement performance depends on electrode type, cell constant, sample matrix, temperature compensation mode, calibration standards, method settings and laboratory SOP. Electrode configuration, standards, optional printer and final accessories should be confirmed before quotation.

Electrode, standards and laboratory configuration

VIKING-EC240 is configured as a laboratory conductivity platform for broad-range conductivity and related water-analysis parameters. The standard 4-ring electrode concept helps reduce polarization effects in high-conductivity and high-salinity samples. Final electrode, printer, standards and accessory configuration should be confirmed in the official quotation.

4-ring conductivity electrode

Recommended for broad conductivity range, high-conductivity samples and reduced electrode polarization.

Conductivity standards

10 built-in international standards and user-defined solutions support routine calibration and method-specific setup.

Digital output

USB and RS232 outputs support connection to external workflows, optional printer and data transfer.

Focused EC240 workflow

EC240 is focused on EC, resistivity, TDS, salinity and temperature. For Ash workflow, select EC250.

MODEL SELECTION NOTE

VIKING-EC240 is the non-Ash conductivity configuration

VIKING-EC240 provides the same core conductivity, resistivity, TDS, salinity and temperature workflow category, but it does not include conductivity-based Ash determination. If Ash workflow, Pure-water compensation or a larger 2000-record GLP database is required, the VIKING-EC250 configuration should be selected.

Applications and laboratory value

Water quality laboratories

VIKING-EC240 supports conductivity, TDS, salinity, resistivity and temperature measurements for routine and advanced water testing.

Ultra-low conductivity workflows

Low-conductivity range, resistivity mode and method-based compensation settings support high-purity water workflows when configuration is confirmed.

Desalination and salinity checks

Salinity range up to 87.0 psu and 4-ring electrode design support desalination, brine and high-salinity sample checks.

Industrial QC and process water

Endpoint modes, GLP database, digital output and printer support help laboratories document repeatable process-water and QC measurements.

How to choose the correct VIKING-EC240 configuration

When selecting a laboratory conductivity meter, the laboratory should define the expected conductivity range, sample matrix, salinity level, required temperature compensation mode, calibration standards, data output requirements and whether conductivity-based Ash evaluation is required. VIKING-EC240 is suitable when a wide conductivity range, touch-screen operation and traceable 1000-result GLP data workflow are needed.

For general water quality, desalination checks, process-water testing and industrial QC, EC240 offers a strong core conductivity platform. If the method requires Ash determination, Pure-water compensation or a larger GLP database, the EC250 model should be selected. COLO.Science can support electrode matching, calibration standards and accessory configuration before quotation.

VIKING-EC240 as a laboratory conductivity meter for water analysis and QC

VIKING-EC240 Laboratory Conductivity Meter is useful when a laboratory needs one bench instrument for conductivity, resistivity, TDS, salinity and temperature measurement. The 5.0″ touch screen and 0.5 grade accuracy make the instrument practical for routine daily operation, while the 4-ring electrode supports stable measurement across low-conductivity and high-salinity samples.

The combination of conductivity measurement up to 3000 mS/cm, resistivity up to 105.0 MΩ·cm, TDS up to 3000 g/L, salinity up to 87.0 psu, endpoint control, GLP-style 1000-result data management and USB / RS232 output supports water quality, desalination, process-water and industrial QC workflows. Final electrode configuration and accessories should always be verified before procurement use.

Configuration notice — EC240 does not include Ash workflow

VIKING-EC240 should be selected according to measurement range, electrode type, cell constant, sample matrix, temperature compensation mode, calibration standards and data requirements.
The available electrode configuration, standards, printer and accessories should be confirmed before quotation.
For conductivity-based Ash determination, Pure-water compensation or a 2000-record GLP database, select the VIKING-EC250 configuration.
