BSCAB2 Biological Safety Cabinet Class II A2 · Two H14 HEPA Filters · 1 or 2 Operators
The BSCAB2 biological safety cabinet Class II A2 protects the operator, the sample and the room at the same time. An air barrier at the front opening keeps aerosols inside, HEPA-filtered downflow keeps the work surface clean, and only filtered air leaves the cabinet. Four working widths, from 940 mm for one operator to 1625 mm for two operators working side by side.

All four sizes of the biological safety cabinet Class II A2 share the same airflow system, two H14 HEPA filters, motorized front window, controls and alarms; they differ in working width and number of operators. Not sure which size you need? Send the type of work, the number of operators and the room dimensions, and we will propose the model.
Biological safety cabinet Class II A2 for microbiology and cell culture
Room air enters through the front grille at up to 0.53 m/s and forms the air barrier that protects the operator. Inside, 70 % of the air is recirculated as a vertical HEPA downflow of up to 0.33 m/s over the work surface, and 30 % is exhausted through a second H14 HEPA filter. The work zone is surrounded by a negative-pressure plenum, so any leak is drawn back into the cabinet.

Key features
- Class II, Type A2: protection of operator, sample and environment
- 2 × H14 HEPA filters (downflow and exhaust), 99.9995 % at 0.3 µm
- Air cleanliness ISO Class 5 in the work zone (ISO 14644-1)
- Airflow adjustable in 8 levels, set at commissioning
- Filter pressure sensors with display and alarm
- Motorized front window, laminated toughened glass, foot switch
- Smooth SUS304 stainless-steel work zone with rounded edges
- LED lighting ≥ 1000 lx, UV lamp with timer, noise ≤ 58 dB
Suitable for
- Work with microorganisms of risk groups 1 to 3 in microbiology and diagnostic laboratories
- Cell and tissue culture where the sample must stay sterile
- Preparation of samples that release aerosols, in clinical and research laboratories
- Teaching and research laboratories that need one cabinet for one or two operators
How a biological safety cabinet Class II A2 protects you, the sample and the room
- Room air inflow — the air barrier at the front opening protects the operator.
- 70 % HEPA downflow — clean air over the work surface protects the sample.
- 30 % HEPA exhaust — only filtered air leaves the cabinet and protects the room.

Operating functions
Airflow control in 8 levels
The fan speed selector on the control panel has 8 levels. The working level is set at commissioning according to your requirements, within the maximum range of 0.53 m/s inflow and 0.33 m/s downflow; the fan compensates automatically as the filters load.
Filter monitoring and alarms
Differential pressure sensors on the downflow and exhaust filters show the filter state on the display. Visual and audible alarms warn of a saturated filter, abnormal airflow and a front window above the safe height.
Front window, lighting and UV
The motorized front window is moved with the panel keys, the remote control or the foot switch. The UV lamp, window, fan and lighting are interlocked, so the UV lamp runs only with the window closed.
Construction, installation and care
The work zone of the BSCAB2 biological safety cabinet Class II A2 is smooth SUS304 stainless steel with rounded edges; side and rear walls are made in one piece, so the cabinet is easy to clean and disinfect. The body is cold-rolled steel with antibacterial powder coating. Check the door width and ceiling height against the exterior dimensions, and place the cabinet away from doors, air-conditioning outlets and walkways that disturb the air barrier.
