Nichiryo Low Retention Tips 10 µL long · Bulk, Refill and Sterile Racks
Nichiryo Low Retention Tips 10 µL long are highly transparent tips with excellent liquid drainage. When you pipette proteins, enzymes, viscous media or solutions with detergents, much less liquid stays on the tip wall – the volume set on the pipette is the volume you dispense. Choose bulk bags, refill stacks or sterile racks, with or without filter.
Low retention pipette tips for Nichiryo pipettes – 10 µL long

Key features
- Low retention surface – liquid drains completely, less sample loss
- High transparency for visual control of the aspirated volume
- DNase / RNase / pyrogen free
- Length 45.8 mm, fits Nichiryo pipettes of matching volume
- Bulk bags and refill stacks non-sterile, racks supplied sterile
- Filter version with hydrophobic HDPE filter against aerosol contamination
Packaging options
Choose the version and packaging that suits your workflow.

Bulk bag
1000 pcs · non-sterile
The most economical option for routine work. To autoclave, first transfer the tips to a rack or glass container.

Refill stacks
960 pcs · non-sterile
Refill stacks for quick loading of your empty racks, with much less plastic waste.

Sterile rack
960 pcs · sterile
Ready to use. Racks can be autoclaved at 121 °C for 20 minutes; replace them if deformed or discoloured.

Filter tip
960 pcs · sterile
With hydrophobic HDPE filter that minimises aerosol contamination inside the pipette. For PCR, cell culture and aerosol-sensitive work.

Where low retention tips pay off
Every liquid wets the inner wall of a tip a little. With water this is negligible, but proteins, detergents and viscous media cling to the surface and a thin film stays behind. Low retention tips release the liquid cleanly, which improves accuracy and reproducibility between replicates.
- PCR and qPCR set-up – master mixes with glycerol and detergents are dispensed completely.
- Proteins and enzymes – antibodies, enzymes and protein standards stay in the sample.
- Detergent solutions – Tween, Triton or SDS solutions that foam and creep up the wall.
- Viscous liquids – glycerol stocks, cell lysates and similar media.
- Precious samples – DNA/RNA and small sample volumes, when every microlitre counts.
Compatible Nichiryo pipettes
These Nichiryo pipettes take this tip:
How to choose
- Routine work, own racks – bulk bag or refill stacks.
- Ready to use, sterile – sterile rack.
- PCR, cell culture, aerosol-sensitive samples – filter tip in sterile rack.
- Other sizes – see all volumes on the Nichiryo Low Retention tips page.
- Economical tips for routine pipetting – see NichimateAqua tips.
Handling tips for accurate results
- Press the pipette firmly into the tip with a slight twist – a good seal is the basis of accurate volumes.
- Pre-wet the tip once or twice with the sample before the measured aspiration, especially with viscous liquids and detergents.
- Aspirate slowly with the tip just below the liquid surface and dispense against the vessel wall.
- Use a new tip for every sample; with sterile work open the rack only next to the working area.
- Store tips in their original packaging, protected from dust and direct sunlight.
