The BIOIND biological indicator incubator is a compact dry block incubator for single-temperature incubation of steam and EO biological indicators. The block is held from RT+5 °C to 100 °C to ≤ ±0.3 °C, a transparent cover keeps the indicators in view, and the timer runs from 1 min to 99 h. The instrument measures 145 × 113 × 110 mm, weighs 0.5 kg and is powered by a DC 24 V adapter. Six interchangeable blocks take vials of Ø 9 mm to Ø 16 mm. Product code PRO4492.
A small incubator that stands next to the sterilizer
A biological indicator shows whether a sterilization cycle did its work, but only after it has been incubated at the right temperature for the right time. A practice with one sterilizer and a few indicators a day does not need a large instrument for that. The BIOIND biological indicator incubator takes little more room than a hand and holds one temperature across an exchangeable aluminium block.

Why a compact biological indicator incubator
The BIOIND biological indicator incubator does one thing: it keeps a block of indicators at the set temperature for the set time. It is small enough to stand beside the autoclave, the supply is a low-voltage DC 24 V adapter, and the block is dry — there is no water bath to fill, clean or contaminate.
The transparent cover lets you see the indicators without opening the instrument, and electronic calibration lets you adjust the displayed temperature to your reference thermometer.

How a run works
Set
Enter the incubation temperature and the time stated for the indicator. The BIOIND biological indicator incubator heats the block and holds it.
Load and start
Activate the indicator as its manufacturer describes, place it in the block, put the transparent cover on and start the timer.
Read the result
When the time is over, take the indicator out and read the result as its manufacturer describes.
Build, power supply and safe operation
The BIOIND biological indicator incubator measures 145 × 113 × 110 mm and weighs 0.5 kg. It is powered with DC 24 V, 1.67 A from the adapter supplied; the adapter carries UL, CSA and CE approvals. The power switch and the DC inlet are at the rear.
The block reaches up to 100 °C; the transparent cover closes it during incubation and lifts off for loading. Program, temperature, timer and start/stop keys are below the display. Confirm the plug type of the adapter before the order is placed.

Applications and operational value
The BIOIND biological indicator incubator is used in dental and medical practices, small sterilization rooms and laboratories that check steam or EO sterilization cycles with biological indicators.
Six block formats cover the common indicator vial sizes, and the incubation temperature and time are those stated by the manufacturer of the indicator.
Selection guide
- Vial diameter. It decides the block: Ø 9, 10, 12, 15 or 16 mm, or Ø 12 mm with a cone bottom.
- Incubation temperature. The temperature stated for the indicator must lie within RT+5 °C to 100 °C.
- Incubation time. Within 1 min to 99 h; the BIOIND biological indicator incubator has one timer for the whole block.
- Several loads a day? Choose the BIOIND100 with seven independently timed groups.
- Another vial size? Custom blocks are made on request.
- Mains plug. Confirm the plug type of the adapter for the country of use.
