COLO.Science — ROMI900 RESEARCH-GRADE PROFESSIONAL BIOLOGICAL MICROSCOPE (BINOCULAR / TRINOCULAR)
ROMI900 Research-Grade Professional Biological Microscope
ROMI900 is a cost-effective, advanced laboratory microscope platform for professional microscopy in medicine, clinical labs and biology research. It is built around an infinity-corrected plan achromatic optical system (F=200 mm) with high-NA objectives for crisp, low-flare imaging, and it supports Köhler illumination with a built-in Light Manager control panel for stable, adjustable intensity and energy-saving standby behavior.
What makes ROMI900 a strong professional platform
- Infinity plan achromatic optical system (F=200 mm): corrected field curvature and chromatic aberrations for sharp imaging across the full field.
- High-NA objective performance: designed to produce crisp, clear images with minimal flare in routine and research workflows.
- Köhler illumination + Light Manager: stable brightness control with energy-saving programming (auto switch-off after inactivity) and convenient front switch.
- Upgradeable contrast & documentation: supports phase contrast, darkfield, DIC/polarization kits, and camera-ready trinocular configurations.
Overview
ROMI900 is a compact, economical research-grade biological microscope for transmitted-light microscopy (brightfield; darkfield supported via accessories). The platform combines a robust full-metal body with precision coaxial focusing and a right-hand mechanical stage for stable inspection and comfortable daily work. Depending on configuration, ROMI900 can be supplied as a binocular or trinocular system for both observation and imaging documentation.
Key features
- Infinity corrected optics (F=200 mm): independent plan achromatic system designed for consistent imaging performance and expandability.
- Wide-field viewing comfort: high eyepoint WF eyepieces with selectable view field (20/22/25 mm options) and diopter adjustment for user comfort.
- Siedentopf viewing head: binocular head with 360° rotation; 25°/45° inclination options are noted; interpupillary distance typically 50–75 mm (varies by head option).
- Reversed nosepiece flexibility: revolving reversed nosepiece supporting 4–7 objectives (customer choice), with multiple manual and motor-driven options depending on variant.
- Precision stage control: coaxial X–Y mechanical stage with 0.1 mm division for accurate sample positioning and repeatable scanning.
- Abbe condenser NA 1.25: iris diaphragm and filter holder; slot supports contrast sliders (e.g., phase contrast, darkfield, compensators, fly-eye lens) with centering capability.
- Coaxial focusing with safety stop: coarse/fine coaxial focusing with tension control and an adjustable rack stop to protect samples and objectives.
- Illumination choices: 3 W LED (6000K, ~28,000 h) or 20/30 W tungsten-halogen with constant intensity control; low heat and efficient operation for long sessions.
- Integrated carry handle: built-in handle with power cord wrap for easier transport and tidier storage.
- Optional imaging & advanced methods: trinocular tube with microscope cameras; phase contrast (positive/negative objectives), multi-purpose contrast condenser, darkfield condenser; DIC, polarization kit, and even fluorescence attachment options (configuration-dependent).
