What makes REMI980 a premium research-grade platform
- NIS infinity optics provides excellent expandability and consistent imaging performance across configurations.
- Multi-layer coated optical components and high-NA plan achromatic objectives support sharp images and accurate color restoration.
- Ergonomic design reduces strain during long observation sessions — suitable for research and medical microscopy.
- Front LCD status display and smart functions reduce repetitive adjustments (magnification/brightness/color temperature/standby).
Overview
REMI980 series microscopes are built for professional laboratory observation in scientific research, medical labs, and routine microscopy workflows. The platform combines upgraded optics with practical operation features such as a universal condenser, safe focusing limits, fast one-hand slide handling, and stable LED illumination. Binocular and trinocular variants (T/B/I) support both routine viewing and camera documentation depending on the selected configuration.
Key features
- NIS plan achromatic objectives: flat, sharp images up to the edge of the field of view; high numerical aperture (NA), long working distance, high resolution and versatile application range — restore true colors for accurate sample observation.
- Observation with 22 mm field of view (optional): when equipped with FOV22 tubes and eyepieces, REMI980 enhances efficiency by allowing faster scanning of larger specimen areas.
- Köhler illumination: a Köhler mirror in front of the light source provides a bright, uniform field. Combined with NIS infinity optics and high-resolution objectives, it supports excellent microscopic imaging.
- Comfortable, worry-free focusing: low-position focus knobs allow exploring different areas of the slide while resting hands on the table; adjustable torque improves comfort. A stage upper-limit stopper prevents over-focusing, reducing the risk of breaking slides or damaging objectives.
- One-hand slide loading: slides can be inserted and removed quickly with one hand. The universal sample holder supports various slide types, including a hemocytometer.
- Easy-to-rotate quintuple nosepiece: high-precision machining ensures smooth rotation and durability. The easy-grip design supports up to five objectives, including optional 2× wide field and phase contrast objectives.
- Uniform, stable brightness: the LED light source provides daylight-like illumination for natural colors. With a typical lifetime of 50,000 hours, it reduces maintenance and keeps brightness stable during use.
- Universal condenser: users can switch from 4× to 100× without moving the top lens. Contrast is adjusted via the iris diaphragm.
- Front LCD status display: working status including magnification, brightness, color temperature and standby is shown on the LCD in front of the microscope.
- Smart workflow design: frequent magnification switching and brightness/color-temperature adjustments are simplified, with status reflected on the LCD to improve efficiency and comfort.
- Per-objective brightness memory: intelligent light intensity management automatically remembers and sets the light level for each objective, saving time during routine magnification changes.
- Adjustable color temperature: color temperature can be tuned to observation needs. Even when brightness changes, the system keeps brightness and color temperature comfortable for the user.
- ECO mode auto power-off: illumination turns off automatically after a configurable period of inactivity, saving power and helping extend microscope life.
- Multifunctional digital head (optional): built-in camera option supports Android, iOS and Windows; both wired and Wi-Fi connections; images can be shared remotely in real time via network.
- Easier transport and storage: a dedicated carry handle improves portability and stability. A rear hub design stores excessive power cord length to keep the lab tidy and reduce trip hazards during transport.
