CMPA1 — Melting Point Apparatus with Microscope
OVERVIEW
The melting point of a substance is the temperature at which it changes from a solid to a liquid state. In organic chemistry and pharmaceutical analysis, melting point determination is a fundamental tool for confirming identity and assessing purity of crystalline substances. Reliable instruments are therefore essential in chemical and pharmaceutical production, research laboratories and education.
CMPA1 is a visual melting point apparatus from COLO.Science that combines precise temperature control with direct observation through a binocular microscope. Using classical capillary tubes and cover glasses, it allows the operator to monitor softening, meniscus formation and complete melting, while the digital controller provides stable ramp rates, accurate temperature display and convenient data output via USB and RS232.
