How Peptone Salt Solution works
The low peptone content and the salt keep the osmotic balance and protect bacterial cells during the preparation of dilutions, without allowing noticeable multiplication.

Working with Peptone Salt Solution: Dispense the solution in volumes of 9 mL or 90 mL before sterilisation and use the dilutions without delay.
