Why this stereo microscope is a practical lab choice
STEBA600B is a zoom stereo microscope (also used as an inspection microscope / dissection microscope) built for comfortable long sessions: 45° binocular head, Greenough optics, and a wide field of view that delivers a clear 3D image with strong depth.
With separate incident (reflected) and transmitted LED illumination, it adapts to opaque samples (PCBs, solder joints, gems) and translucent objects (biological specimens, thin plastics). The ergonomic stand supports larger samples and stable routine work across education, QA/QC and production.
Key features (short)
- Greenough optical system with high contrast and depth (3D stereo view).
- Zoom 0.75×–5.0× (zoom ratio 6.7:1), wide magnification range.
- HSWF 10×/20 eyepieces (secureable; Ø23 mm optional).
- Working distance 100 mm (comfortable tools & manipulation under the lens).
- 3W LED transmitted + 3W LED incident illumination, separately adjustable.
Where it fits best
- Electronics: PCB inspection, soldering & rework, micro-components.
- Gemology & jewelry: stones, inclusions, surface checks.
- Biology / entomology: insects, plant parts, dissection work.
- Archaeology / geology: structure, texture, sorting & documentation.
PRACTICAL USE & CHECKLISTS
Daily setup checklist (fast)
Choose illumination: incident for opaque samples (metal, PCB, gems) and transmitted for semi-transparent items. Set eyepiece diopters and IPD (52–75 mm), then start at low zoom and increase gradually.
If you need imaging: choose a trinocular variant (600T/800T) or a camera-ready configuration with C-mount adapter, reduction lens and software (options per PDF).
COLO.Science & equipment
COLO.Science helps you select the right stereo microscope type (binocular vs trinocular, working distance, illumination, accessories) based on your samples and workflow.
If you need ring light, ESD setup, measurement slide or camera kits (10MP/18MP), we propose a matching configuration.
