Slotted weights set M1 — 100 g to 10 kg with 200 g weight hanger
The COLO.Science slotted weights set contains seven stainless-steel slotted weights — 100 g, 200 g, 500 g, 1 kg, 2 kg, 5 kg and 10 kg — and a 200 g weight hanger. The weights slide onto the hanger rod through the slot and stack centrally, so you can build defined dead-weight test loads from 200 g up to 19 kg on one hanger. All weights are made to accuracy class M1 according to OIML R111-1.
Slotted weights for load testing and calibration
Slotted weights are used wherever a test load has to hang: force gauges, spring and hanging scales, tension meters, test stands and fixtures for test and measuring equipment. With a slotted weights set the load is applied in defined steps by adding or removing weights on the hanger, without changing the set-up.

Key characteristics
- Accuracy class M1 according to OIML R111-1
- Seven slotted weights: 100 g, 200 g, 500 g, 1 kg, 2 kg, 5 kg and 10 kg, 1 pc each
- Weight hanger 200 g with hook, suitable for all weights of the set
- Total test load up to 19 kg (all weights + hanger)
- Slot width 8.5 mm with central bore Ø 12 mm
- Machined stainless steel, adjusting cavity in each weight; calibration certificate optional
Suitable for
- Calibration and verification of force gauges and tension meters
- Checks of spring scales, hanging scales and crane scales
- Defined dead-weight loads for test stands and fixtures
- Routine load checks of test and measuring (T&E) equipment within the quality system
How test loads are built
The 200 g hanger is always part of the load. Weights are added on the hanger from the largest at the bottom to the smallest on top, so the load stays central and the stack stable.
Examples: hanger + 1 kg = 1.2 kg; hanger + 5 kg + 2 kg + 1 kg = 8.2 kg; hanger + all seven weights = 19 kg. If your procedure needs other test points, individual slotted weights can be added to the set.
For certified test loads order the set with a calibration certificate, and define the recalibration interval in your quality system.

Using and caring for slotted weights
- Let the loaded hanger hang freely and wait until it stops swinging before reading
- Stack the largest weights at the bottom and the smallest on top
- Keep weights clean and dry; handle them with gloves and avoid impacts
- Store the set in a dry place and keep the certificate with it
- Define a recalibration interval according to your quality system
Scope of supply and options
- Slotted weights 100 g, 200 g, 500 g, 1 kg, 2 kg, 5 kg and 10 kg (1 pc each)
- Weight hanger 200 g with hook
Option: calibration certificate for all weights of the set and the hanger, class M1 according to OIML R111-1. Individual slotted weights and other nominal values on request.
